Join Virtual Arizona Pride organizer and ASU professor David Boyles for a pre-Pride viewing party of Booksmart on Zoom.
Released in 2019, Booksmart is a modern, feminist and LGBTQ+-inclusive update on the classic teen comedy. It follows overachievers Molly and Amy on a quest to have fun on their last night of high school, and, for the out but sexually inexperienced Amy, a quest to hookup with the girl she has a crush on. Join us for a communal viewing and post-film discussion about the film’s representation of modern LGBTQ+ teens, queer sexuality, and more. Booksmart is rated R for strong sexual content and language throughout, drug use and drinking.
